The 53mm (53-400) size screw-on caps with foam liner, 2-pack, are compatible with American Maid plastic water bottles and water jugs that have a 53-400 threaded neck finish. However, these caps are not compatible with water jug brands such as Bluewave, New Wave Enviro, PureAqua Jugs, and Ore International, which require a 48mm sized cap. Additionally, these caps are not for use on water dispenser bottles that require snap-on caps or on glass jugs.

The caps feature a 3-ply compressible foam liner and are BPA-free, made in the USA. It is important to note that the caps are not designed to be leakproof. The cap dimensions are as follows: Inner Diameter: 53mm (about 2-1/8"); Outer Diameter: 55mm (about 2-3/16").

Determining the cap size for your water bottle or jug can be challenging, as some manufacturers have changed their bottle designs over the years, and the jug's gallon size does not determine the cap size. The easiest and most reliable method to find the right cap size is to measure the Outer Diameter (OD) of your old caps. The 53mm size caps have an OD of about 2-3/16". Alternatively, you can check the water jug's label, as it may specify the required cap size.

It is crucial to measure the cap size carefully, as water bottle caps are not universal. Attempting to use the wrong-sized cap may result in leaks or other issues with your water containers.
